The earning depends upon various factors such as followers, engagement, influencing niche, platform, and the amount that the brand pays. It also depends on the number of brands that approach you, which in return relies upon your followers, engagement, and niche.
Do not run for followers. The number of followers does not matter to the brands to approach you or the commission you earn, but the engagement does. There are influencers who 5K followers but more engagement than influencers with more followers. It all depends upon the type of content you create, how much people can relate to you, and how much they can personally approach you. And we can already see the micro-influencers taking over affiliate marketing in 2021. Also, stick to your niche as you have an audience who is interested in that particular niche. If your niche is makeup and you start promoting pet food, your followers will be disinterested, and you won’t make much commission.
